Super Combat: Frame trouble

I was cleaning up my Super Combat for a race tomorrow and found this:
Super Combat frame 002C.jpg
The frame is pretty much finished. Its already been welded in several places (rear fender loop, airbox support) plus I had to weld the lower bearing race for the steering head in place (it was ovaled out when the steerer tube stretched).

Anyway, is there anyone near southern Ontario with a spare frame they are willing to sell? I'm looking for either a Super Combat or late model Super Rat. If I find one, I plan on making reinforcements to the next frame.

Bummer. You sure you wouldn't want to weld that? It looks like a clean brake. I've got an spare Super Combat frame, if you want to contact me privately.

TIG weld it and add some trusses over and under. That should hold it nicely! ; D Victor

I can't believe this doesn't happen more. When I cut the tubes to make trials bike out of the Hodaka frames everyone has been rusted on the inside. Some way more than others. I did one that I think the only thing holding it together was the paint. They may look good on the out side but I would recommend that before painting any of the frames, to take a wrench and tapping on the tubes to be sure they are sound along with checking all welds. Having a back bone tube fail on a trials bike is bad enough but a MX bike doing 40 mph over a jump, that could wreck your year. Just a thought.
