99 engine paint

Can any one tell me if the original engine paint on the model 99 RT was gloss , semi gloss or flat black. I'm assuming that the cylinder and cases were painted the same.

I believe the engine was painted a semi-gloss.

I would guess satin. The black paint that Paul sells is great. PJ1 Fast Black.
