Exhaust clean ?

So I pulled my spark arrester out and wow is it ever gooey in side the exhaust system .. Anyone ever use something to clean out all the sticky goo ? LOL :roll:

I've used a heat gun in one end and a torch on the outside at the same time to burn my pipe. I seen a tool like the one in the video for sale on a RD350 forum...if I find it I will post a link.

Here's 1 of 3 handfuls of "stuffing" removed from a pipe that the customer swore was clean. Be sure when searching for presumed carb issues that the exhaust is indeed clear. I removed the pipe and couldn't see or hear anything inside. After removing the baffle and spark arrestor I ran my homemade "exhaust roto rooter" through the pipe to find this.While the carb did need a little adjustment, there was no way to get the engine to run properly with an exhaust in this condition.

Also, I would suggest that all bikes that aren't ridden regularly should have the aircleaner/exhaust openings sealed to prevent this.
