Finally finished restoration of all three chrome tank super rats. Four years to find bikes, parts and time. Lots of help from Paul and Roger L. for motor work.

The last one I restored has always been my favorite. The chrome tank 93 is a great looking bike. Had an 1970 ace 100 when I was 15. I always wanted the SR. First saw it in cycle world back then. Now I have all three.

Gary, the collection looks great! Brings back memories of uncrating the first 93s in the shop. We were so excited to see the first Rats. Good job and thanks for the post!

Max

PS--The picture on the right is the first one out of the crate and was raced and modified for several years.

Clarence, No pictures yet working on engine. Trying to talk Kay into driving over there for a couple of days if she can get the time off work
Thought I'd load up the 64 Ace 90 and the Wombat 125 and kinda make a road trip out of it. Crossing my fingers.

Roger,

Nice catch on the chain guard difference. My 2 cents is that the 93a and 93b had the chain guard with the cut out clearence. The 93 had the "smaller" swing arm (non cushion hub) which used the chain guard without the clearance cut. If I am wrong hopefully someone could let us know. My intentions for my 93's that they are as cols to original as possible.
