What can you use for a spark arrester for the Bad rock ride? Here in Utah I have raced desert with just a wire screen hose clamped over the end of the pipe for the arrester....will this work for the Bad rock ride? The wire screen is like the one used in a screen door. DG

What muffler do you have on your bike? Is it a stack muffler or a racing aftermarket?

I Googled Circle F pipes and the site shows several models. None for a Hodaka. Which model has been adapted to your bike. If you can reference this pipe, perhaps Circle F has an arrester for it. Or at least one you can find. I saw several on eBay.

They look for the forestry stamping on it as well as the screwdriver test.

FMF Universal is the easiest to find. They run $150 roughly and you need to know if you need 1 1/8" ID or 1 1/4" ID inlet.

Hey DG, I have the same pipe. What did you end up with on the spark arrestor? Mine requires ear plugs for competition. Did it help that problem?

Hey Doug, thanks for posting the pictures and info! I need to do something like that on my circle F pipe to make it forest legal. Be sure to take ear protection on your epic journey. We don't want you coming back "hearing impaired" like us old racers. Enjoy tour trip!

PS---I forgot to say the bike looks great!

I would be interested to know what carb you used, what jets you ended up with and what you had to do to the carb to breather boot to get it to fit. I am setting up a CW with a reed and thinking of switching to the spigot mount carb.

Bill...I think I got the manifold for it off eBay and the boot is the stock 95 cut back about 1/2 inch. One thing that I need to do is get some studs for the manifold.
