Help! AHRMA Problem!
Posted: Mon Dec 22, 2014 6:57 am
AHRMA Northwest has posted a preliminary schedule of vintage races and trials which includes a new site, in Oakland, in western Oregon on the same weekend as Hodaka Days. This creates a serious schedule conflict for any number of vintage riders, who might normally participate in both events. As Hodaka Days is always scheduled on the last full weekend in June, we are locked in to our date, with the cities of Athena and Weston, and Umatilla County for our various events, including the Bad Rock trail ride.
I encourage you to express your concern about this to AHRMA, as the Oakland event is a new one for AHRMA. A week before or after would create a positive situation, where travelers could take advantage of both events. Direct conflict will d3efinitely diminish both! Please do contact AHRMA officials and other members in an effort to move the Oakland event out of direct competition with Hodaka Days.
