72 wombat model94

Say guys I have a 1972 wombat model 94 that has the chrome tank and a red color scheme .All the model 94s . I have seen are painted black . So why is this one red . serial numbers are low . frame c 09*** engine ho9*** .This thing also has an air box marked dirt squirt

Come on post a photo and lets see it, it makes the post more fun. Sounds like a Wombat made into a Dirt Squirt sleeper.

Check for evidence of re-painting: existence of primer under the paint, black paint under the red, improperly filled sanding scratches, overspray, etc. The best paces to look are the places that would be near impossible to sand off the original paint, i.e., between welded gussets, inside the gussets forward of the horn and coil mounts, etc.
All the 94/94A's were black. The prototypes were apparently the only ones that
could have been red.
