The forum seems to work fine on tablets and phones.

The Club is building a completely new website to try to bring all of our resources to one place, and as part of that, his forum will be either integrated in its current form (software) or converted into a more compliant version. I am using the proposed solution which functions pretty much the same (upload files, then insert into your post) as this one.

We are hoping to have the new site up and running soon, but as is the case with anything new, we intend to try to work out all of the bugs we can before subjecting you all to any big changes!

 . . . and it was me and my Windows 7, Internet Explorer version whatever computer, which was having the reported problem. Temporarily solved by using Chrome when needing to post a photo.

Not sure why my photos appear sideways on my android and if I click on them they are then in the correct position.

FYI - Both photos appear sideways to me . . . and they stay sideways when I click on 'em on my computer. Windows 7 operating system and Internet Explorer. NOTE: So far as I know I am fully updated on both Windows and Internet Explorer . . . and I can not post photos to the Forum unless I surf there using Chrome. (Hmmm, that should probably be phrased, "unless I surf there using 'not Internet Explorer' ".

Oooooo, this is very interesting. I am currently logged in using Chrome. The photos are sideways . . . until I click on 'em - then they appear correctly (rubber side down :D ). I have NO idea what to make of that.

I’m using Safari on iPad and they appear sideways in the post, and correct when clicked. I have had a similar issue with iPhone photos, as he camera attaches an orientation tag it seems. Android may do the same. Different browsers apparently interpret that differently.

I know I have opened such photos on a photo edit program, the re-saved, and fixed the issue, but otherwise it is an anomaly I can’t fix via the site software.

Who's airspace was that pic taken? Planes look pretty close together for US specs.

Is that a DC-8??? I didn't know any airline was still flying those. I did know they were for awhile in limited service as cargo planes but that one still looks to have windows. Interesting.

My brother used to fly cargo with DC-8's but that was decades ago now. He no longer is a commercial pilot. Very cool picture!

Pop, My understanding is that was the DC-8's gig after it went out of passenger service. I think there are a few of them still serving that purpose. Cool.

Believe it or not Matt his cargo was primarily checks that were being shipped overnight to the main office of a major bank. Can you imagine filling a DC-8 with paper checks? Talk about obsolete technology, I'm reasonably sure it's all done electronically now... and this wasn't really that long ago. Our Hodakas were already vintage at that point.

Interesting perspective, Pop. It probably took 500 gallons of kerosene just to get one of those planes to off the ground. Funny to think that only a couple decades down the road, one could likely transport all the paper checks to the main bank office on the back of a Hodaka - and at much better fuel economy.

Its a Canadian Airforce 707. I`m in the Australian Airforce 707. We flew there for winter runway training . The year was around 1986. They came out to meet us, a nice greeting. I left in 88 and no I`m not a pilot, ground engineer.

Third, That is two learned votes for 707. I'm a believer. I've never been a pilot, but have several friends who are - military, now civilian. To a man, all aver that walking away from an intact airplane following a round trip from earth and back is a team sport every bit as dependent on the ground personnel as it is the pilot. I'm inclined to believe them. I'm sure your countrymen as well as the rest of us living in the free world are grateful for your service.
