The other nice thing about this style repair is when you remove the shifter cover, there won’t be an oil leak! If I needed one, I’d take one! :ugeek: Victor

Regarding design:

I think M6x1 male thread in Aluminum looks a bit fragile.

If there's room in the case I'd be inclined to go with M8x1.25

If not room for M8, I'd go M7x1.

If the Patch Stud gets broken it'd be pretty simple to remove with an easy-out.

To avoid leaks I'd probably suggest coating threads with sealant.

Look, if there are cases out there with busted studs sitting in boxes I'm willing to help.

Al, if you are interested in repairing the newer cases I can send you a broken Toad case and cracked shift cover. You can keep them and use for measuring.
I will even clean them first ;)
