Oil for injection?

I'll be an old stick in the mud and claim that oil injection is another thing added to the list of things to go wrong. Just sayin, no pump failures in pre-mix. Look at all the horsepower lost while doing things twice. Hey, add oil somewhere, I think I'll pour it in the tank to simplify things or I could add complexity and power loss from gears, shafts and pumps. Chez, what's all this stuff weigh to drag with us? Bah, humbug! A strange twist on the path to civilization and common sense. OK?

Thanks for weighing in....are we back on the topic now? Lol. My question is how long before the pump stops working or oil stops getting to the motor before detonating?
