If you disconnect the cable from the clutch lever on the engine, how much freeplay do you have? The answer to this and another question below will provide valuable information for "long distance diagnosis".

-- loosen the cable significantly
-- use a large Philips screwdriver to pry the lever up, using the screw boss as a fulcrum (notch(s) in the Phillips screw driver point nicely "cradles" the lever for the pry/lift)
-- just pry the lever up enough to get the cable end out of the lever with your fingers

Now, check how much freeplay the clutch lever has. How much does the end move from its "at rest" position on the screw boss to the point where it "stops" moving up (using finger pressure)? This is an important measurement and may help us diagnose the situation.

Also, while the cable is disconnected, if you use the large Phillips screwdriver to move the clutch lever -- does the lever hit a completely non-moving stop? Or does it hit something pretty solid, but then move up a bit more? (movement tends to indicate the clutch springs are compressing as they ought to)

Yes we do indeed know how to fix your clutch problem - if we could nail down what the cause is. If you would give us the diagnostic information requested in my previous post, we'd have a much better idea of what is required.

I am guessing there are forty or fifty guys here that could fix it by flashlight but by Internet, it is hard to do without information.

Hey sorry guys, I didn't realize that I had responses already, or that there was a second page to my posts. I will try the suggestions that were given. Thank you all.
