Hi. I'm new to hodaka. But I just purchased a 1974 hodaka and I'm looking to find out more about it. The steering post has the badge that says 1/1974 and E-08728. How can I determine what model and cc size is on this bike? Thanks.

So, 1974 Dirt Squirt, model 96, pretty close to the end of production for that model. Post pictures when you can.

Original was a 20mm. I have a 24mm that might work. I used it to replace the 20mm that came on my Ace 100. Don't need it. My tank has a dent and needs rechromed but is just sitting in the garage.

I see some dirt squirts with chrome tanks and fenders and some red tank and fenders. What was original? Thanks.

Both original, different years and models. Your was a red frame, chrome tank, stainless or chrome fenders (not sure which metal). Later model had red tank.

This is a 100B tank, not Dirt Squirt. It has the early style small filler hole. The Dirt Squirt had a larger fill hole.

My frame is grey. It could have been painted though.
