Road Toad Spark Arrester

Post by RichardMott »

All,

I got a real shock when getting tech inspected for the Bad Rock Ride at HD15. Found out I had no spark arrester insert in my exhaust. Luckily Rick Vernier kindly lent me one from his Road Toad. Phew!, that would have be bad after coming all the way from Pennsylvania and not be able to ride.

I have a request. Does anyone have an insert they would like to sell? Paul does not have the whole assembly I need.

It is items 65,66 and 67 only. The 96 DS or 01 RT are the same I think.

My exhaust system is either a RT of a DS. The cylinder flange adapter fits 03,RT or later DS. Not sure if the 03 insert will fit. Does someone else know. I know the RT fits what I have for sure.

Greetings

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the parts schematics show that these items are in stock. They should fit the models 94a 99 01 02 03.

Hope the helps

81-Item# /Fig.R2 -Hodaka Part#_999198 - Sound absorber (inner)

Not available. This is the RT which I think is the most compatible with my muffler. The DS is, but is more restrictive. I was just using the DS picture as an example. This bike has an 03 motor.
