Clarke Tank Fuel Cap

Post by Zyx »

For the record, the folks from Clarke, here at Hodaka Days, replaced the failed plastic cap without hesitation. My weld repair survived the Bad Rock trail ride, but new is better. Thanks to the good folks at Clarke.

And now....the rest of the story.

When the owners of Clarke handed me a new plastic cap, no questions asked, I asked if they had any billet caps. Sure, what color do you want. I picked out a blue and silver anodized cap that matches the frame color, and they gave me full retail credit for the free cap I had just been handed. Got the bill it cap for $37.

Then, today, Clarence shows up and hands me a new plastic cap, as he said he would in an earlier thread. So, thanks to the kindness of Clarke Mfg, and the generosity of Clarence Taber, I now have a new billet cap AND a new plastic cap. AND, I still have the repaired cap which doesn't leak anymore.

Seems like you met some great folks. I met Clarence at Hodaka Days 2014. Really nice guy with a great sense of humour!
