Clutch problems help please
Hi folks I have an urgent problem , I'm at a two day meeting and for the first day I have had s clutch problem . My first engine didn't make it so I'm using my spare . It's never been run since build up. The Problem is that the clutch won't disengage. I have spare pressure disc spacers but no combination works. I even fitted the working clutch from my first engine , the complete set up , spacers everything. I need to get back to basics so what it the correct set up for the clutch ? Sorry no manual with me. Any help much appreciated .
Cheers Kev

Hey Kev, First here's a picture to at least see if your parts are in order. This is for a 100B. What model do you have?

94 wombat
Re: Clutch problems help please
Here's for the 94. Does the lever seem normal? The discs may just be stuck together. Try to push start it in a higher gear and drive it around for a few minutes while working the lever, or start it in neutral and roll it to get it in gear and drive it a bit.

Re: Clutch problems help please
When you did the clutch swap, did that include the clutch pinion bushing? A short bushing (which I have seen rarely) would cause the symptom you report.
Though I would probably just ride the scooter for a while to warm the oil and activate the clutch with each shift to see if it "breaks free".
Did you check clutch lever (at the engine) freeplay?

Re: Clutch problems help please
The clutch that is now fitted was fully functional an hour before the swap so it's not the clutch plates sticking. Ed I didn't swap the grooved bushing . I have been thinking over the night here about that although not sure how it would affect things . It's the only moving part left to change . Is clutch actuation arm on the case fee play 3/8 mm ?

Fixed!!! It was the bushing that had a very small burr on the end.
Thanks all

To be clear, we are leaving Sydney in the next half hour or so to drive up to Classic Dirt. If you are coming, bring a spare clutch cable if you have one. (I used one up on a ride this morning on Ken's Wombat)
