How to modify Wombat to run Pre-mix?

Post by Irish John »

How should I modify my Wombat to run only pre-mix? I assume I couldn't be lucky enough to just disconnect and plug lines.

You have to drill a lbe hole to the left side crank bearing from the top of the transfer port in the case down to the bearing . If you can find an earlier Hodaka left crankcase to look at you can see plainly waht you need to do . I have done this a few times .

I assume a complete engine disassembly is required to effect this modification?

Are their any Hodaka specialists who could do this?

Irish John,
You do have to dis-assemble the engine to drill the oil passage. I can restore the complete engine for you or if you can dis-assemble the engine and send the left engine case I can drill it for you.

I cant tell where you live so not sure if Rich is closer to you than me.

Danny,
I live in Lawrence, KS. What's the cost of a complete rebuild? PM me if you prefer.
