Recently purchased 73 combat wombat..wondering why 2 spark plugs..was told 1 for some type of compression release but can find no info in my manual.

No there won't be anything in the manual about the second plug hole. It was popular, back in the day, to tap a second hole for a compression release or as a spare plug. Some brands came with the second hole...

I guess you just need to make sure the reach in the plug hole is ok.
