Foot change gasket

Post by Phydeaux »

Gents, this is perhaps the lamest question ever... but on an early Dirt Squirt 100 I'm not sure where to apply the sticky foam gasket on the inside foot change cover. Specifically, part 38 on the "A" schematic. I can't find aany residue from the original and am not exactly sure where to apply the new one. Anyone have a photo?

Cheers,

I don't have an actual picture but maybe the red circle on the schematic will help. The gasket goes between the inside cover #37 and the magneto cover #11 and it is basically to keep dirt from getting from the chain into the greased shifter area. The screws go right through it.

Does the rest of the metal gasket remain dry or is a non-hardening pliable sealant used ?
