Comparing Wombat Road Toad dirt Squirt Exhaust

Post by DesertRat54 »

I've got a question for the collective: Is the 94A Wombat exhaust pipe interchangeable with the 02 Dirt Squirt and the Road Toads? Is this a stupid question? I no longer have any of these bikes--just some miscellaneous parts--so I can't compare.
Thanks,

Bill-
Not stupid. I don't think so. The frames are different, so may be different bends or attachments, but more importantly, I think the Hunnerds (01 DS, 99/02 RTs) have a smaller diameter than the 125, tho I'm not sure. Certainly the 03 Wombats are bigger than the 100s.
Since no one responded, I figger at least this will get you back to the top...

The 02 Squirt and Road Toads share the same pipe.

The 94A Wombat is different, but I am not sure how it differs. Some time ago I was looking for a pipe for my Road Toad and I was told the 94A Wombat pipe would not fit. Not first hand information, but it's the best I can offer.

The schematics all show 99,94A and 02 using the same 999161 muffler. Looks like the 94A uses a different cylinder flange than the 99 and 02 which use 992513A. I think I got that all right. ;)
My research for the day--

At the end of the day, the biggest pass/fail difference is pipe diameter far as I know. Slip fit end of the pipe can be modified to fit your flange if you only have wrong ones and can do a bit of welding or brazing on sheet steel. But the difference aside from mount length, which is small if at all, is the diameter of the slip joint.

I disagree w/Max. The schematics don't show the same pipe for a 125 (94A) as the 100s. The hunnerds use a 99161 as Max said, but the 94 appears to have its very own, unique pipe.

BTW (I can't stand it any more) the painted tank Squirt is an 01 model. There, I'll go back to sleep.

Alright Bob, I really hate to admit that you're right and I'm wrong but it's true! The 94A muffler 949171 is different. I thought I'd done my homework but I must have pushed the wrong button. Can't trust anybody today, not even Hodakamax!

Thank guys. All hail the collective! I guess that's the price I pay for the sin of selling off too many of my Hodakas. Re: Brian Z's comments: I can relate, because I was told some time ago that the Road Toad, Dirt Squirt and 94A exhausts were interchangeable. My suspicion is what sent me on this quest to begin with. Again, thanks gentlemen.
