Hotel at Pendleton
What I the recommended hotel for HD201 this year. I heard the Rugged Inn is under new management. Are they offering a discount for HD visitors.

OK, for those who aren't members (tho I should let them suffer) or for those like Rick, who haven't made it to page 49 of the new Resonator:
New Sponsor Hotel
Our sponsor hotel provides us with their guaranteed lowest rate and complementary
nights for the club’s special celebrity guests. Since 2007 we have had the same
sponsor hotel. The hotel has gone through several owners and managers in that time
including another change within the last few months. It seemed like a good time to
review our options.
After considering rates, service, cleanliness, staff, and amenities, the club has selected a new sponsor hotel. The Best Western Pendleton Inn. In addition to a very reasonable rate, the hotel offers:
· A hot breakfast including waffles, eggs and sausages, as well as hot and cold
cereals, juices, pastries, bagels, and coffee.
· A 24 hour front desk
· Swimming pool
· Guest computer
· Large parking lot
· Located across the street from a 24 Hour restaurant
The Hotel is located at 400 SE Nye Avenue, right off the Interstate and almost a straight shot to Athena. To book a room, call 541-276-2135. Be sure to tell them you a there for Hodaka Days to get the special rate. Or if you are reading this on line, you can just click on the link below to book a room.

Re: Hotel at Pendleton
Bob,
I hadn't read the RR yet when Stu Gillard emailed me about the hotel. I have made my reservation my phone yesterday. Funny that the $75 price is the same as the internet price. AARP and AAA price was $105 according to the hotel agent. Oh well, $75 is a good price just the same.
I will be making my flight and car reservations later today.

Rick, I think the link above is especially for the Hodaka Club. If you go directly to their hotel site you will get priced over $100.

Re: Hotel at Pendleton
Nope! I went directly to the site and the price was $75. The agent told me $105 if it wasn't the HD rate. Anyway, I got it for $75, so the point is moot. Thanks though for your input. Next time I might not be so lucky. I travel for business a lot, so I am a pretty good student of savvy travel.
I am flying to Portland from Philly on Delta. Only cost $11. Frequent Flyer. The $11 is the tax. Heh, heh!
