Who would of thought, hell I almost didn't make it out of high school and that was the end of the road for me. Lucky for me I was able to work a very good trade in printing, a daily newspaper for 26 years. I started at the bottom and worked my way up to press room manager. Now I have been retired for a few years thanks to my great wife, I've been stepping out and trying some creative avenues.

I hope you all get VMX magazine. Thanks Ken Smith, I can bet you made a few corrections of my draft. You take great photos while Greg and Diane provided such a beautiful model.

Hello Kelly/everyone on the forum,
I have been feeling pretty crappy the past few days and have not been on the site.I saw this post today and although all of you know I am a HUGE fan of VMX magazine and Ken Smith I had to pull the file Kelly posted of the article from the site. I have yet to read the latest issue of VMX magazine but in discussions with Ken understand how great an article and cool the bike is !!

I know this post had great intent and I am excited for both Greg and Diane Watkins and Kelly I cannot allow this article to be posted. Sorry !!!!
The reason is that even though Kelly wrote the article it is part of VMX magazine and it is the property of VMX magazine.
As hard as things are right now in the publishing world for magazines I need to try and help my good friends at VMX by suggesting that folks subscribe or purchase the magazines which supports VMX and keeps this great magazine alive. If people can read articles on line then there will be no need for them to purchase the magazine. I cannot tell you how many motorcycle magazines all over the world have folded the past few years. Now this is NOT the case with VMX but as their friend it is my responsibility as a friend to ensure that what goes on here on this discussion group does not inhibit any sales or interest to VMX.

Kelly I know that what you posted was not meant in any way to hurt anyone and it was out of excitement. I too am very excited about the article and this great bike . Kelly you are like a brother to me and Greg and Diane are my absolute best friends in the world so I mean no disrespect to you.
But it would disrespectful to Ken Smith for me to allow this portion of issue # 61 of VMX magazine to be posted unless I had written permission from Ken.
Anytime I use anything from VMX magazine it is only with the full permission and knowledge from Ken.
Sorry to be a bummer especially to friends. If I deleted this post without any mention of why there would be more questions than answers.

Kelly, a few more comments on your new career. You've commented on my lighting and photography before and the reason my presentation is reasonably good is that I'm a free-lance photographer with decades of experience. Not so on my writing career. I've had several articles published through the years but only with the help of my journalist wife. People today can purchase a new camera and claim to be a photographer. That's like purchasing a new pencil and suddenly you're a writer. It takes years of experience to be good at any trade. I find that writing on the forum really helps my writing and story telling skills. (My wife still sometimes edits my longer posts!). I guess that's why I was trying to encourage you by posting "Bravo Kelly'' the other day. Have fun in your new endeavor and keep us posted, so to speak.

Kelly I totally understand your excitement!! I mean it when I say you are like a brother to me. You have stayed here in Vermont, Rhode Island and I have stayed at your home. All is good I did not want to hurt any feelings either yours or Greg and Diane's.
