Mine did the same thing. Had to replace the O ring seal on the inner surface of the countershaft. Mine would only leak when full and leaning on the kickstand. Once it lost about 6-8 ounces it would stop leaking because the oil level wasn't high enough for it too leak out around the control rod. Don't forget to put a brand new spring clip on if you pull the countershaft apart to put on the new O ring seal. - Victor
