I was thinking of making him an offer. Steens is the only thing I'm really after and possibly a motor. Just want to have pick up and storage lined up before I stick my neck out. May possibly have to hold it till Hodaka Days next year. You see anything in the pile you may want or can use or sell, we can work it out.

I would certainly be interested in the model 98 Rat carcass if you ever get it back to the east Dan.

I would really like to (I had a blast in 2014), but as it stands right now I'm a little light on cash, especially the way the Canadian dollar keeps sinking.

Well that could mean a trip west earlier than I figured. Maybe I can get someting headed that way to help offset costs.

Being in El Cajon, I was tempted when I saw the ad but sent it to Kelly then Paul. Don't know the market well enough to part it all out since I'm newly back in the Hodaka family. I just don't have the room to store for long and don't know if there's enough demand if I wanted to part things out. I'd take it on if so and of course willing to ship.

I can help with getting the deal done and shipping if you decide to do something.

Again I appreciate the offer of help. I'm gonna shoot him an offer tomorrow and see if he bites, if he does I'll need the help. I'm hoping to be able to put together some pick up and deliveries to help offset costs of the trip, but we'll see what happens. Thx again.

Progress is being made. Ken was nice enuff to be my eyes on the ground out in Ca. Turns out the bikes are 10 mins from his place. He's looking into possible transport options so I don't have to make the trip, and then we'll move forward.

Ok, the transport is being harder than I thought, so I'll put this out there. Does anyone have anything that needs to go cross country ? or part way across? Doesnt matter what it is, as long as it's close to the route. Get out your map and draw a line from Syracuse, NY to the San Diego section of California. Whole or parts, running or not, brand doesnt matter, if it needs a ride I can help out.

I've lost contact with the guy with the bikes, waiting to hear back from him, not sure if he's sold them or not, but he has pulled the ads down.

Unfortunately this deal has gone by. Someone, from somewhere bought these bikes. Maybe someone on here. If so, I'm still interested in the Steens. If not on here, I'm still interested in other Steens project bikes. Thx to trophyhunter for being my eyes and legs on the ground on South Cal. , and thx to the guys who offered to hold them for me till I got them picked up. Maybe I'll call on you for future duty. Hope to see all in Oregon next year at Hodaka Days.
