What are the tools involved and the procedure for relieving the exhaust port bridge on an over bored Road Toad cylinder? Does the piston benefit from special treatment?

After checking historic forum posts, I think I got enough education to proceed. Yes, I'm going to put two cooling holes in the front of the piston, too.
