95 & 97 cylinder heads…

Post by viclioce »

They both have a part number on them as 9[]9501. But on the fiche they are 959501 and 979501. Are the identical or do they have different squish areas??? :ugeek: Victor

Here is a little bit of additional information which may be helpful to the Hodaka tribe. The factory cylinder heads for ALL alloy cylinder 100's and 125's are exactly the same on the OUTSIDE. But the combustion chamber and squish band size/shape/volume varies to match the engine(s) they were meant to go on. Soooo, there is no way to identify exactly which cylinder head you might have from the OUTSIDE. Only the Combat Wombat head can be positively identified from the cast in part number. 100cc heads will show a 50mm squish band OD and 125cc heads will show a 56mm squish band OD.
