ACE 90 Fork Disassembly

Post by Hodakajohn »

Hi All,
Looking for tips on disassembly of Ace 90 Forks. Do I need to remove the tapered chrome piece? If so how?
Then what? Sorry to be asing stupid questions this is my first Hodaka project. I may still end up replacing the forks but thought I would give rebuilding the stock forks a shot. Thanks

I don't know if you have one, or have access to one, but the official Hodaka Workshop Manual for the Ace 90 has complete instructions for disassembly and reassembly. If you don't have the manual, it is something you should consider as it gives great information on all aspects of working on the Ace 90. I believe that hodaka-parts.com is selling copies of the manual.
For now, if you need, I can email you the information on the forks, let me know.

You can also look at the parts fiche on Hodaka-Parts.com

That shows you exploded views of the front forks with parts identification and part numbers. It’s really helpful for me as a fast reference for assembly whenever I’m scratching my head about something going together.

The manual does have great information and IS worth having though. Terry Larson at Hodska-Parts.com just did a great re-print of the Ace manuals and has them available at a very reasonable price!!! :ugeek: Victor
