Ho, ho, ho Hodaka fans. Happy Holidays.
Our friends at the historic Gem Theater and Hodaka Museum in Athena have been offered a $7,000 match fund toward their campaign to raise $15,000 to buy the projection equipment for theater. The match is good through 12/31/23.
It’s hoped to have the equipment installed in time for Hodaka Days so we can all enjoy a special screening of Peter Starr’s classic documentary “Bad Rock” with genuine theater quality sound and video, this June.
If you can help, go to www.valleygivingguide.org to donate. Contributions large and small are appreciated. You need to go through the above link for the Gem to get the match.

I'll be going online make a donation tonight. For any interested Hodaka fans, I can vouch for "The Valley Giving Guide". I regularly go through them to provide funds to other local organizations.
Merry Christmas!

Update: Dang, I forgot to make my donation to the Gem last night . . . but remembered to git 'er done tonight. The link works very well and is quite easy even on my old air cooled, drum brake, twin shock computer.

Clarence,
I'm sure all monetary donations would be welcome regardless of the delivery method. Noting that your direct mailed donation will likely not get doubled by the "match" situation they've got going right now by virtue of not being channeled through the Valley Giving Guide and by possibly not arriving before the match deadline of Dec. 31, 2023. STILL, every dollar would be a help in the latest drive to purchase and install the audio/visual equipment. Thanks for considering a donation.
