Project Wombat Racer completed!
My brother Paul's Project Wombat was started last March and finally completed December 19 2021. Modified 1972 Wombat frame, 03 front end, clarke tank, PP replica fenders, modified elsinore seat, extended the swingarm 1-1/2", relocated and modified the rear brake pedal (Ossa style) PP number plates, and a Strictly Hodaka pipe. Rich Gagnon did the carb modifications and porting on the cases and cylinder. Hodaka Dave did the crank and shifter case rebuilds. Dave also cleaned up the cylinder with a new bore. Combat Wombat motor and painted black. Modified Road Toad airbox to still the airflow. We fired it up for the first time Dec 19th and Paul broke it in the next couple of weeks. It screams like a reeded motor! He was hoping to race it at Daytona in vintage mx but there wasn't enough time to sort everything out, maybe next year.

NICE scooter! I especially like your air cleaner/snorkel redesign! With those mods, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that your air cleaner "flows" better than a Combat Wombat air cleaner unit.

Re: Project Wombat Racer completed!
Richard did the biggest part of work on it. I had a stock frame and forks for it. I gave it to Richard. He puttogetjer the motor changed the frame out to a modified one. Swaped the stock forks for larger. Paint welded and assembled it. Its great to have a talented brother. He did a great job. Still working on breaking it in. Im in the process of moving so so things have to wait. Cant wait for us to get on the track with it!
