Rode The Ace 90!
Rode The Ace 90!
Well she finally got fired up tonight!
Had to adjust the idle, but she’s pulling hard thru all 4 gears! Made my eyes water because I was just wearing my eyes glasses!
Now one question…
The rear of the bike doesn’t seem to be tracking straight with the front end. There’s maybe a 5-10 degree difference. The handlebars must be held turning slightly right to go in a straight line. Any tips on how to adjust for this?
Just need to do a tiny bit more idle increase tomorrow! But boy! I’m happy with her for the most part! Victor

Re: Rode The Ace 90!
I'm sure you probably checked, but are the chain tensioners adjusted symmetrically?
Re: Rode The Ace 90!
nice paint, like the tank. another good one victor...
Re: Rode The Ace 90!
Matt, I’ll double check. I had a few issues with the chain. Maybe that’s all I need to do! Thx for reminding me! And thanks to you too Albert! Victor

You were right Matt. The right side of the axle was a 1/4” closer to the end of the swing arm than the left side, measuring on center of axle, both sides.
I also figured out the plastic fender isn’t mounted 100% straight!
I’m going to ride it again now to check the idle and how the tracking is. Thanks for the reminder. Victor

Re: Rode The Ace 90!
Cool. Your chain, sprockets, and tires will love you again.
Re: Rode The Ace 90!
Looks like I need to pull the carb off again. Floats don’t seem to be level. It went a few hundred yards & I shut it off at a friend’s house. When I started it back up it was running like the bowl was overflowing.
I’ll have to check float level and also make sure there’s no float leaks. Victor

Gotterdun! Adjusted the floats just a bit more and now everything seems to be fine! She idled for a good 10 minutes and no issues with it overflowing and flooding! Time to make a delivery run!
