If you are planning to ride/race the bike, get yourself a set of plastics. You could buy 10 sets of nearly indestructible plastic fenders for the price of a good set of stock SR fenders - if you can ever find one. Bonus: you don't have to feel appropriately sheepishly dumb when people ask you why you are racing with unobtainable, heavy stock fenders. Hey, I like the look. Preston Petty and UFO are both great lines.
