The difficult decision has been made – the Hodaka Days 2021 reunion/celebration will not be held.
Following our February planner’s meeting and an additional four weeks of consideration of the “in’s and out’s” of putting on the event, our March meeting resulted in the decision to cancel the event for 2021. The Board Members of the Hodaka Club and virtually all of the event organizer’s agreed that for the safety of our members and the local townspeople it would be best to wait and put on a hum-dinger of an event in 2022.
We will all miss the riding Hodaka’s – and looking at all manner of original, fully restored and customized Hodaka’s – and getting together with Hodaka family members from across the country/globe. However, the complexities and risks of putting on an event such as ours during a waning(?) pandemic greatly overshadow the benefits of some optional “play days” for our generally, er, um, “mature” Hodaka family members.
Keep your calendar open for the last full weekend of June 2022. We’ll have all your favorite Hodaka Days events plus a few special surprises. You won’t want to miss Hodaka Days 2022 – it’ll be a big one!
Ed Chesnut, President – Hodaka Club
PS: Keep the rubber side down between now and then, OK?
