Dirt Squirt Red???

We’re the 96 Squirt frames painted the same color red as the Aces & Super Rats, or was it a different shade of red? Just curious. Victor

Yes, there was a color (tint) change between the last of the Ace series frames and the toaster tank Dirt Squirt. The earlier Ace series frames might appropriately be described as "fire engine red". I remember commenting on the more "tomato soup red" of the first production Dirt Squirt un-crated at the Service Department in Athena wayeeee back when.

I think there was a comment about a switch to a JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) standard red color . . . but I'm not sure about that.
