Needle bearing removal
Is there a tool / technique to remove the small needle bearing out of the left case?

At your own risk, i watched it done like this. Make sure to support the back side of the case. You can google blind bearing hydraulic method.
Just pump some grease into the shaft hole. Find a piece of shaft that will fit inside the bore and hold it against the grease. Cover the shaft and grease with a rag and hit it into the bore with a hammer. The hydraulic force transmitted by the grease will drive the bearing out of the hole.

I use a small toaster oven and heat the case to 325 degrees. With the bearing opening facing down while heated, it will likely fall out by itself. If not just drop the case lightly on a wood surface.
