Looking for Spark Arrestor for 95

Post by Dal Aymond »

I am looking for the spark arrestor, that fits in the tip end of the silencer, on a 95 Combat Wombat flame thrower exhaust pipe.

Does anyone know if the Spark Arrestor on the 92B, 92B+, 93B, or 94 will work on a 95 Flame Thrower?

Unless you are dedicated to running the pipe stock, consider a silencer upgrade. I have cut off and replaced the flame thrower tips on both of my race-prepped Combat Wombats with FMF Turbine Core II silencers. Lighter, mellower exhaust note, and maybe a slight performance boost are the real advantages of the FMF. Also, they come with everything need to mount it. If cutting into the pipe is off-putting, you can always weld the flame thrower back on if you want to restore the pipe to stock trim. Check it out.

Are you looking for part 66 on the parts diagram? At Hodaka Parts Inc when you click on that it shows the one for the model 94. If it is that part I have 3 extras. A while back when they were unavailable I had a someone make several for me. They cost me $25 each. If you want one I would just ask you to make a $25 donation to the Hodaka Club.

What is the final opening diameter of this part? The 92B+ version is 1/2" so I might expect the 125 version to be 9/16". Just curious.

It also looks like it was intended to have some packing wrapped around it by the look of the one on Hodakaparts list.

Yep. Just good 'ol 2-stroke glass pack. Wire (my fave) or masking tape to secure.

These ones I had made are 1/2” at the final opening. Works well on my stock Wombat 94.
There is plenty of material to open it up some if needed.
