Just picked these up today. My initial assessment tells me that I have enough here to put one complete bike together and a stripped down rider.
Two Ace 100s. 2 complete engines, both stuck. 3 gas tanks the best one of which appears to be an early Super Rat tank. Headlight and taillight in the bin. Nitto tires that are holding air. Shifter cases appear to be in good condition. One front wheel and maybe the forks are not original?
Lots of good stuff here.
First step will be to get the pressure washer out. Then go through the parts tote.

I’ve been slowly plugging away on the Ace project. I’ve decided to put the first one together without painting and all that cosmetic stuff since it is original and in fairly good condition. Even the original tires hold air and are not cracked. I am giving everything a through cleaning and making sure everything works.
I am taking the engine (actually both) over to Ron Liddle next week so he can perform his magic on them.
While going through the carburetors I discovered one is missing the fuel inlet nipple. Has anyone had to replace one of these? Where can I get one? And is there a trick to pressing it in?
I know this is pretty shadetree-ish, but it worked just fine. I built a little wood cut-out deck out of some scrap 2x4 so that the bowl gasket surface of the top was completely supported and then drove the inlet barb in with my drill press. This operation, of course, is performed with the bowl removed. Remove just enough wood to allow space for the carburetor features that extend below the bowl gasket surface. Not pretty, but it works.
The fuel inlet on my Wombat came out which turned out to be lucky as it was completely blocked with mud and I hadn’t noticed before. I left it in my zinc plating bath for extra time to give it a good coat and build up the outside diameter. I then tapped it back into the carby with a brass drift and it hasn’t leaked.
Working on a seat for the Ace project. One very good seat pan of the two. Very little rust. All cleaned up an painted. The other pan Someone had cut off the rear mounting bracket darned DPO.
I will place my order for the seat foam today. Since the covers are not available I will take it to a local shop and have a cover made.
The plastic projective trim that goes around the bottom edge is shot. What are others using for this?

First one done except for the seat cover. I had both engines gone through by Ron Liddle. I had him not do the cosmetic stuff to the outside of the engines to keep the patina. The bike run and rides great.
I have not decided yet what to do with the second Ace. I don’t have the parts to put it back to original.
