Can you identify this pipe?

I am redoing my Ace 100B into a road bike. I found this pipe in my parts stash. The plan is to make it into a low pipe.

Bassani? I have a Bassani for my Ace with similar heat shield guards. Maybe?

I just acquired what appears to be the same pipe as your Bassani. The only difference is that the stinger is maybe somewhat smaller ID but I'd have to measure. It has a can with a perforated inner pipe that clamps on.

I had a pipe back in the day ['69] that I think was a JT or J something. Made in LA I think, and it had a mesh shield as I recall. It looked cool, made more noise even with the glass pack can, and didn't go much faster if at all. I eventually went back to the stock muffler after the aluminum glass pack fell apart. Follies of youth.

Good for you. I have a hard time finding anything on line about vintage Bassani 2stroke exhaust. All I get is HD’s and other big bore pipes any more...... Victor
