Bad landing?
Re: Bad landing?
Depends. If he didn't bail out and was lucky; yes. Other forces and vectors figure in too.

Re: Bad landing?
Note position of far side knee - and angle of near side thigh relative to center-line of machine. I'm thinking "EJECT. EJECT. EJECT!" was the decision issued by the command center about 20 milliseconds ago.
This is one way that front and rear fenders got used up.

Re: Bad landing?
Oops. On review. This rider's fenders have already been shortened (due to previous situations like this one?)

You know, if you only look at the forks (Cerianis?) without the rest of the picture, they are at about normal rake - IF they were on a bike going the other direction.
I feel bad that his right hand has still got a death grip on the bars, my guess he's going down with the ship.

Looks like Clarence once, as I was headed into a stump hole on a cross country race. --------------Clarence

It looks like he's about to perform a perfect flying "W" followed by a bonus face plant.
I hope that is just a drop off and not a creek bed with a bank on the other side...…..Ooohh it makes my stomach hurt thinking about his immediate future and my own experience in this situation.
I don't know anyone who hasn't been there and done that! Usually it happens without any witnesses. How lucky he must have felt to have it recorded on film!!!
I wonder if he ordered the new Bell Star helmet after or before his visit to the dentist.
Tom
p.s.----Nice tank.

Re: Bad landing?
Hmm...I think see spoke detail and those wrists and arms are straight and I don't see smoke blasting out the chamber. These are problems. The correct move here is a hearty yank on the bars with the throttle pinned. Unless he is at the crest of an insanely steep downhill,(which he just might be based on the right margin of the picture) all I see left to do here is to decide which letter of the alphabet he wants to look like as he launches solo. Incidentally, that doesn't look like a Thunderdog.

Matt, oh no it's not me! I found it on the H.A.M.B. earlier today. I do feel sorry for the guy's next few seconds though. I also wonder who it was? It does answer one question though...Where we got all those dents in those beautiful tanks!

Bobv - agreed! There is a ding in the very near future here.

Re: Bad landing?
One thing to notice is he doesn’t have his hand on the front brake! So he isn’t in a panic stop mode based on the lack of braking. He also doesn’t appear to have the rear brake depressed as well. So maybe riding it out is what he’s doing. Just guessing..... Victor

Re: Bad landing?
What’s behind the back seat appears to be something in the background. It’s more out of focus then the bike.
Also the slope in the background looks like the top of a hillside! Maybe he went into an uncontrolled airborne flight and that’s the way he landed? Victor

Re: Bad landing?
I suspect the unidentified substance behind the seat is a forebearer of things to emerge in larger quantities soon.
