Thanks Gary! Way to rip on this whole project!

NOTE: Clicking on the logo block does indeed take me to the Board Index (and gives me a larger target to aim for on the smart phone. ;)

The Hodaka Club banner needs to move somewhere else. It's actually sitting "on top" of the navigation and search bar.

Are you on a phone, Roger? It appears fine on my PC and iPad. And iPhone.

Can you post a screenshot?

hodaka Forum Navigation.png
PHPBB takes images and places them to span the entire width of the page where they are located unless you put boundaries on the image. The expanded space is transparent, but anything underneath it is not accessible, but still visible.

The Banner needs to go somewhere else.

nm... I fixed it. You were missing some styles for the headerbanner extension.

Fantastic! Thanks Roger. I believe that was actually an issue that arose with the site upgrade - so getting it fixed is great!

PHPBB is not my first language - or even second or third, so tech assistance along the way is a very helpful thing. This seems to be a fairly well-received template, and with that bug worked out, I don't see a lot of payoff spending a lot more time searching for something else. Off to work on other projects for here and my other sites.

I just saw this message and tested it from both a laptop and my android phone. Both look and work great!
Thank you for all the work Gary and thank you Roger for lending your expertise!

Perhaps down the road the small picture can now be added back into the banner??? It did look great!

Gary,

I believe you just need to edit the image that is used as the banner and add the image Dale is referring to and render it down into a single image. When completed, simply upload the file to the same location where the existing image is, (assuming it is saved under a different name), and change the image filename in the Header Banner settings to the new file. Maximum size is 1500 pixels. I think I set this one for 850 pixels? so you should be able to easily add another 650 pixels in width.

This would be good thing to do anyway because I set the banner image as large as I could before it started to get really pixelated. Not quite big enough to extend across the entire page. PNG image files scale well so you shouldn't need to designate a separate image for mobile devices.

I can certainly creat or modify the graphic file (I usually use PNG for web stuff). I was trying to figure out which graphic he was referring to. Once I determine that, I’ll crank up the graphics programs!

Yes, that was the picture.
I think the picture just added a good visual presentation to the page.

Thanks to Roger for doing the behind the scenes banner replacement! (I’ll take some credit for creating it, but he did the under the hood work!)

Dale and Kelly should be happy, and the vast majority of feedback since the template change seems positive.

Thank you all for your patience!

I am happy!

I did note that the pictures appear in the banner when I access the forum from a laptop but not from an android phone. Seems perfect due to sizing but I was surprised to see it work that way.

Sometimes different browsers on even the same operating system format differently. Unfortunately we don’t have he programming resources to I’d the browser and operating system, then serve up a more individualized version of the site.

You might try one of the different browsers available (free) for android to see if the banner renders there?

Here is how the site renders on my iPhone:

et al,

If you are still getting the old image, more than likely, your browser cache is caching the headers for the Forum website. It will eventually clear and you should see the new image within a few hours. The image Gary posted above is the image you should see, eventually.
