I have a 95 engine slowly going together but I do not yet have a shift cover for it. I read that an older cover would fit on the 02 and 03 so I wondered if it could work the other way.
The screw hole near the shift shaft lines up.
I fitted a piece of aluminum stock to the mounting hole at the bottom of the engine and drilled / tapped a hole for the lower front screw.
For the top I put a nut behind the shield. I still need a small piece of aluminum to bridge the 2 screws. That should hold the top.
I don't know if I would ever use it but it is a fun experiment.

Pretty cleaver Geary! You must have some extra time on your hands???
I am curious to know if you have fitted it to a frame mounted motor? I am wondering about it clearing the foot peg?

Dale, I need to trim the bottom of the aluminum stock so it follows the contour of the engine.
Just looking at my hacksaw gives me arm pump! I need to take it a shop with a bandsaw. Then I will see if it will fit a CW frame.
