I will have to measure the old screws which came out of it tomorrow, if I make it out to the garage. It’s being predicted that we are to have 8-15” of snow tomorrow.... I’ll let yo know.
But why would 4 steel plates & 5 friction plates come out & only 3 steel & 4 friction go back in? Doesn’t make sense to me. Screws which went in were the same length as the screws which came out. All I did was clean, file & reassemble with the same plates and new screws, the same length. Victor

And is there a difference between the 934008 ISO & 934008 covers? Victor

Re: Clutch Question
The pitch of the screw threads are different and require different screws.
934008 uses m5x0.9 pitch
934008 ISO uses m5x0.8 pitch

Re: Clutch Question
Did this clutch work for you at any time? If not, who knows what had been done with it...viclioce wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 4:23 pm I will have to measure the old screws which came out of it tomorrow, if I make it out to the garage. When you measure the screws be sure to measure the cage depth as well. That will determine what you have.

Re: Clutch Question
Clutches, motors, all not running when acquired. This bottom end didn’t even have a clutch with it. The first clutch came from another Ace motor which was seized. This second clutch was loose in a box. Not sure from where it came. This is the first time I have done a motor with a worn clutch. Just been lucky so far. Victor

Re: Clutch Question
My guess is that the clutch was not worn out but rather assembled incorrectly. Unless they are being raced or otherwise abused they don't wear out. Just my guess...
