Clutch actuator lever removal

Post by twinsports »

This has probably been discussed before, but I couldn't find the answer.

On a 125 Wombat 94 how do I remove the little round top pin that holds the clutch actuator lever (maybe wrong term) into the RH side cover? I'd like to media blast and paint the cover.

"you do not drill out the rivet, you have to get something under the edge of it and pry it up, I use a wood chisel to get it started, then grab it with pliers and turn it out. It has a spiral to it and doesn't come straight up. There is a knack to it, some come out harder than others, just have to be patient and persistent.".. i believe this is what your looking for . i asked the same question awhile ago and this answer was right on took less than 5 min to get it out in the picture were talking about the rivet thats pointed at.....albert

Wood chisel is the best I have found, you just want to lift the edge up to be able to get under it to either pry it up or rotate it out. Don't shear it off or you'll be SOL. Good sharp edge is a must.
