New projects are hard to resist...

Post by Pep »

Especially when it was only traded for an old Airhead seat...
She runs, she shifts, but she will still be taken apart and resurrected...maybe in time for HD14 if I get busy.

Finally a 90 with the (original?) small air can and boot. The others have had the bigger air can, like the 100's - not sure if this was a common swap or upgrade from the small ones?

Let the fun begin!

Ahh...finished. Test ride was a success, and every little thing works perfect.
I do love these bikes.

Very cool ace 90. Great job and in one month. You must have several elves working in your shop. I like the low bars.

Thanks y'all.
I was lucky with this one - the engine was just a basic, easy rebuild, and just about all of the frame was usable. Most of the rubber needed replacing, and for the first time, I decided to completely re-wire a bike, instead of only replacing the worst. (It was very satisfying when everything worked).
Also happy the tank cleaned up - good use for those anniversary badges!
I sure like those NJB shocks (function-wise), and I'm fond of the low bars too (even if it's not all "correct"). I did have a cool set of original Hodaka grips on the shelf, this seemed like the right bike for 'em.
Can't wait to see all the great bikes at HD!
