Hello Hodaka friends,
My name is Kevin and I live in Rigby, Idaho. And I love Hodaka motorcycles. I got my first one when I was 12 yrs old for 50 bucks. It was a stripped down ace 90 with and expansion chamber. I thought it was the most awesome bike. I kept it for a lot of years and in a divorce 22 yrs ago it disappeared. I swore I would have another one.
Fast forward to July of this year. I have a pickup I like to put in car shows. I always like to put something different in the bed. This year I decided it was going to be a Hodaka. I found they are tougher to find than I thought they would be. After talking to everyone I knew, a coworker said his father had four of them in really rough shape. I jumped on it and a deal was struck. It was a bigger job than I thought. I was building a Pergola for my wife and was working full time and with building a bike in a month it really ended up being a monumental task. But I got it done with the help of the Hodaka community. I did make the show yesterday! And what fun it was! It was great to see the smiles on everyone’s faces as they saw the bike,it was like seeing an old friend. And everyone had a Hodaka story to tell. The icing on the cake was the trophy it won. It really is great to be part of the Hodaka family. Kevin

What year is your Dodge? Did it start life as a warlock or midnight express?

It is an75 with a 78 grille. It originally came out Cali. It is just and adventurer sport that I switched up. I decided to make my own version of the express trucks. It has a 440 that I transplanted in. I called Black Magic not to step on anyone’s toes who had a real Express truck. It has both the tach and clock from the factory. BTW your Lil red is absolutely awesome. As well as your Super Rat!! I’m jealous I was really honored when LMC truck put it on the cover.

Very cool Kevin! We’re just collecting material for another edition of the Resonator Revisited, the club newsletter. If you could write up the tale and attach some of those cool pix, it would be a nice addition. Just email me the material and I can pull it together.

Bob, it would be an honor to be part of the resonator. I will try and have something put together in the next week or so if that is okay? Kevin
