Sold new June 6 1970 I sold this black hodaka for $379.00, retail on a new 1970 ace 100 was $435.00. The Black ace 100 was discounted to us and I passed that on. I think hodaka planned the painting of the bikes black as they knew in advance. They made the gas cap and the dipstick black also. So I think they painted them black originally they were in production I do not think they stripped a bike down and redid it? that is my thoughts any way. -------------Clarence

How rare are Black Dip Sticks? I have several. A bunch of the Bonanza Mini Bikes came with them. Joe.
