Steens e code question

Hello,
I have a steens alport with an e code engine it’s E22XXX and it has the ace 100 head with the 20mm mikuni. My question is during rebuild found the 4th gear had a broken tooth and the 4th gear is a 22 tooth. From the parts breakdown on the ace 100 it shows 4th gear as being 25 tooth. I have an earlier lower number E engine and it has 25 tooth 4th gear. Can anyone explain or help me out. Thanks. Aaron

You may have a Super Combat Trans. How many teeth on the kick Gear? If it`s a Model 97 Transmission it should be 30 Teeth. List the tooth count for all the gears. That will tell all! Joe.
