Rubber noise reducers?

Post by SuperRat2110 »

Hey guys how effective are the the noise reducers on the dirt squirt? Are there any pros or cons to them. Besides originality would I gain anything from them?

I always used the dampers on my street ridden bikes to cancel some of the ringing noise from the engine. I started using black rubber fuel line cut into 1 and 2 inch strips pushed down between the fins when I ran out of the block style Hodaka used. The original ones do not age well. May make your DS look more period correct, but not sure how much you would notice on trail ridden bike.

Thanks for that advice. I did just that. I'll fire it up tomorrow and see if it made any difference.
