muffler packing 01

So I took out the packing today which was pretty bad, after taking it out I got to looking and was wondering how you put the new packing around with because the inner part is pretty tight to the outer part when you slide it in. Also looking at the schematic, the parts I have aren't the same. Here are some photos...

I'm assuming if was some after market part stuck on the bike? I ended up cutting off the one end so I could get some stealwool in it. Good enough for now.

Usually the Baffle is covered with a single sheet of fiberglass. Victor
