Wow Clarence! Your wit is truly "Matchless". Do tell - how did Baby Doe end up misspelling her name (Tabor vs. Taber) and ultimately finish her days in Leadville, Colorado frozen to death in an abandoned mine shack? This I gotta hear!

I covered Taber/ Tabor in the last post. Baby Doe Tabor was Maxies step mom. You are correct it was a long time ago, I will have to read the book and see what is says of Maxie. -----Clarence

Sooooo, who was the botanist named Taber from Montana that named the genus Amsonia plant Tabernaemontana? Maxie would have named it A. goodious or A. maxximus or even started his own genus with Maxximus goodieakansasii if necessary. I like that one.

Zuccinni season in Kansas and the Old Man arrived with his cat to partake of this annual adventure on his way North to see Clarence. A nice shot from last year where they limited out. I was already limited out on zucchini personally. Reporting. Maxie

Does he just plink 'em from afar, or use the Siamese cat to flush them out?

Very sporting, Clarence. That's an awful lot of artillery for a zucchini, though. 12 gauge autoloader? Too much gun.

:) Then maybe sawing off about 8 inches of the barrel might level the playing field.

:o Unbelievable. Clarence's silly post from a few years back has now drawn 45,621 views and 212 comments. Some sort of record I'll bet. I still giggle when this shows up. What's all of this about? Nobody knows. One of the great mysteries of the Universe I think. Maxie

Well the Old Man has stopped by for a free meal this Thanksgiving and we put him in the kitchen to help. Now we have him locked outside until it's time to eat. Nothing different, just like last year. Too cold and wet to paint and he's heading South after a great meal he says. He had stopped by Clarence's place a few days ago but he said his door was also locked but there was a snow shovel by the doorbell. We'll get him topped off and on his way soon. Happy Thanksgiving to Clarence and all from the Good's and the Old Man who has arrived from the North today! Max, Eweleen, and the Old Man. 8-)

Good to hear he made it. I gave him a early Christmas present a set of screwdrivers to tighten up the loose screws. Now some folks may think were mean and cruel but you would have to know him to understand. He can still stand there and talk about hodaka's for hour's. He won more races than he ever entered. It is good you filled him up with food as he can drink a gallon and a half of mountain due. He states if there is ever a food eating contest we should bet on him. I will miss his help this winter and will be glad to see him back in the spring . He always speaks well of the Good family. Have a good thanksgiving every one .?? Was he going to swing by and see Victor this year?-------------Clarence

I haven’t heard from him yet. He was upset because I didn’t grow any Zucchini. Hoping he makes it, but the roads are bad here. 6” of snow already & it’s still coming down. 8” predicted for today, which would bring us to a foot of snow, & 5” more for tomorrow. But, highways are bad & secondary roads worse! Happy Thanksgiving!!! The photo was at 8:00 this morning! :ugeek: Victor

Sounds like a regular weather day up here in NY. We don't even get the plows out till we get 4" of snow.

Well the Old Man did show up on his way to Mexico to warm up! He said the bread would do even if there was no zucchini! He saw the post for the bread I made and said he just had to stop!

Said he was headed for Puerta Viarta and was going to try a little cliff diving! He said it couldn’t be harder than jumping a bike!

He liked the Turkey & the Ham & sweet potatoes, but was upset there was no beer! But I gave him an eggnog & Crown and that seemed to appease him!

After dinner he wanted to see the bikes in the garage. But it was snowing again so we didn’t take any of them out.

He finally said he was going to try to head south before the snow started sticking to the roads. So I made him a Turkey & cheese sandwich on garlic cheddar bread to take with him & a Coke. He thanked me and said to tell Clarence that he should come join him in Puerto Viarta for a few days before he has to head home for Christmas!!! :ugeek: Victor

Well over 50,000?? I just had a trucker drop me off a note from the old man scribbled on a napkin, hard to read something about Pint of varda. I have never tasted Varda before and I am not sure that he wanted to share his pint of Varda with me or for me to buy a pint of Varda and share it with him. He always positions himself at the corner of fifth and Main holding a sign "need hodaka gas". So when you rich boys see him, help him out as he will need gas to wander back north. Have a great New Years everyone. ------------------ Clarence

Clarance. Which flavor of Varda does he like? There’s Blueberry, Camomile, Green Apple & Elderflower! I’m betting on the Elderflower! :ugeek: Victor
