Alsport Steen Hodaka

Post by Yamadaka »

I ran across an Alsport Steen Hodaka. I was wandering if it was a 1972 or what. I've only been able google search one other bike identical to it. It was a 1972. White tank and fenders with Ace E motor. I have a motor # and frame #

Motor--E 21017

Frame--Z177430...... I not 100% sure on the first character. Pretty sure it is a Z

Hello, I to purchased 1/2 a Steen this summer, I mean, mine is the same as yours, but mine is missing the rear wheel assy, I would like to know if you can send to me a picture of the rear wheel, from the swing arm back, showing one picture for each side. I also would like to know what the size of the rear tire and wheel is. With those pictures I think I can fit an ACE 90 rear wheel assy. Your help will be greatly appricated. Bruce Young,

As I recall, woking on the Steen raffle bike in 2010 (I think it was), the Steen has 16" wheels stock. Ace 90 would be a 17". Still might be able to make it work, but it would be more than a bolt on swap.

 Thank you, gentlemen, I will now rethink the rear wheel deal, :o :o may be able to find steel wheel 16" and some spokes to match that will work on a Hodaka Ace 90 hub assy. Yes I know little more work than just bolt swap, but that the challenge of the Hodaka world, we sometime must make other brands mix into our brain child's. And we must think outside the box. :D Thanks again. Bruce

I picked one up recently myself, fairly complete sans fenders, got it running but need a left inner case as the screw post is broken off.

My frame is stamped on the left side of the bike, on the top edge of the swing arm mount tab. It is hard to see in this picture, because of the powder coating. Click on the picture and you can see the numbers better.
