03 shock bolts

Post by bobwhitman »

Help! I need to identify/locate bolts for stock 03 Wombat rear shocks. Attached are pix of correct (I think) top bolt (complete). I have the one set pictured, but need the other top bolt, as well as both lower bolts.
If you have correct bolts for an 03, could you measure and help me ID the needed parts? I have a pile of bolts, but dunno which is which.
Looking at Terry's schematic, I probably have the 929139 and the 949140 bolts which should fit the right side, but need measurements to ID them.
Also, 39139 & 39140 (left side) appear to be unique to the 03 model. Looks like I have the top one (pictured), need the bottom.
Finally, I have a mystery bolt also shown; anyone recognize it?

Might be easier to sort this out via phone. My number is 541-954-0101, if you have info and are willing to help!

Bob,
I believe that your unknown bolt is the upper right shock bolt for an Ace 90. The double ended bolt is for mounting the exhaust pipe.

As for the 03 shock bolts, both the left top and the left bottom bolts have separate spacer collars. So the bolts themselves are longer than other models. I am not able to get to one today to measure exact details, but will if someone doesn't come up with them before I can.

I needed bolts like the ones on the shocks and found matches at my Ace Hardware.

The Model 03 does have spacer bushings on the left side, top & bottom. :ugeek: Victor

Awright; friend KC came up with a full set that I can borrow to sort these out. As he noted, no wonder pabatco went bust. Four different bolts to hang two shocks on an 03!
Thanks guys.

Actually, I think PABATCO/Hodaka went out of business mainly because the people in Japan who were building the bikes were not listening to the people in America who were designing the bikes.

I think a new company that bought the business out were not that interested in motorcycles. But I think Matt is partially correct and Honda probably had 20+ model's. Other dealers hired and sponsored Hodaka's go fast racers and riders. But the legend lives on. ------Clarence
